AIT BEN HADDOU
Every Morocco Tour should take in this special UNESCO World Heritage site!

Ait Ben Haddou village is a long but interesting day trip from Marrakech. A UNESCO site since 1987 it is one of the most spectacular ksars in Morocco where families still live following ancient traditions. Along the Ounila valley you will admire the Amazigh (Berber) villages in the mountains of the High Atlas. Stop in Telouet to visit the Kasbah El Glaoui before returning to Marrakech.

At Ait Ben Haddou you will have a guided tour of the village, including an opportunity to enter a private home for a unique insight into the architecture and traditional life-style of the people. Walk to the very top of the village where they stored and defended their valuables and take in the vast panoramic views of the surrounding valley and mountains before returning to Marrakech via the Tizi’n’Tichka Pass.
